Time constraints as well as other factors can be an obstacle to students wanting to explore campus. As a result, they could be missing out on valuable information.

Since I’m making an app design from scratch, I needed to establish an information architecture (IA) to understand the structure of the app. Through the few iterations, this was the site map that I was left satisfied with.

The next step in this project is to conduct usability tests to validate my research informed design. These tests will also help me understand the intuitiveness of the design and whether or not this is a realistic concept for students to use.

As I was conducting the user interviews, I was actively listening and engaging into the conversation about the problem. Afterwards, I reflected on how crucial this part of the interview process was because the better the communication between the interviewer and interviewee, the more insightful the results would be.

The importance of making good questions was something that I overlooked when creating my survey for this project. The results showed me that the questions I used were somewhat flawed. I used this experience to take the time to write more meaningful questions for the user interviews, so that it could guide me into the right solution.
